Welcome
to NitroPrint's Help Center. We've compiled the most common
information we think might be helpful in understanding
a little more about the order process, how to set up your
files correctly, as well as some other handy tidbits.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q.) Why are my uploads
not finishing and what is Passive Transfer Mode anyway?
[back
to top]
A.) Passive Transfer Mode is a protocol the helps
FTP clients communicate behind a series of firewalls.
Due to recent configuration changes in our servers, NitroPrint
now requires that Passive
Transfer Mode be turned OFF. Currently if you are
experiencing file upload errors, it is due to Passive
Transfer Mode not being turned off in your
Internet Explorer browser or FTP client. To turn off Passive
Transfer Mode in Internet Explorer, open
the browser, click Tools, click Internet Options, click
the Advanced tab, in "Underline Links" uncheck
the box that states "Use Passive FTP (for firewall
and DSL modem compatibility). For FTP clients you will
have to browse within the software to find out where to
deactivate Passive
Transfer Mode.
Q.)
How do I get my files to you?
[back
to top]
A.) There
are many different ways we can receive your files. The
most popular method is FTP (File Transfer Protocol). You
will find very detailed information on FTP at step 4 of
our ordering process (follow "place order" link). You may also email your files to us. This
may pose a problem if your outgoing mail server does not
allow large file transfers. If time is not an issue, you
may send us your files on a Compact Disk or ZIP disk through
a mail to the post office box listed on the contact
page.

Q.) How
do I order a Digital Proof? [back
to top]
A: Digital
proofs are ordered by designating which method you would
like in a drop down menu that is located in the shopping
cart. Each different product that you order has the ability
to have some sort of proofing option. Please keep in mind
that ordering proofs often affect turnaround time. It is
essential to order a digital proof through the proper means
by using the shopping cart drop down option.
Since we feature a rush turnaround, if a digital proof
is requested through any other method (email, ftp readme
file, voicemail message, special instructions, etc.) then
we can not guarantee the message will be received in time
before we go to press with your order and can not be held
liable for any problems that might result. It
is also important to note that we send digital proofs exactly
how the files look when received, including but not limited
to bleeds.
